It's no secret that essential oils can heal, relax, and do so much more. There are so many options for you to choose from, this is our selection for you to always have at home.

The one thing I keep in my first aid kit and use to cure and prevent disease is essential oils. The plant-extracted, highly concentrated oils have historically been selling points in food, cleaning and beauty products and now research proves that when used properly, they're also good medicine, says Brent Bauer, MD, director of the Complementary and Integrative Medicine program at the Mayo Clinic.

One way it is used by #herbalists is inhaled (#aromatherapy) which may actually be beneficial for your health. You just need to find the best essential oils for whatever you need.

"Aromatherapy is a caring, hands-on therapy which seeks to induce relaxation, to increase energy, to reduce the effects of stress and to restore lost balance to mind, body and soul." Robert Tisserand

Final Recommendations

No matter what use you want the #essentialoil for, you must dilute it in another carrier oil (coconut, almond or olive) or water as essential oils are potent and can sometimes cause irritation or allergic reactions in some people. Choose oil that hasn't been chemically processed whenever possible. Chemical distillation can dilute or contaminate essential oils, reducing their efficacy and scent.
